What do you do at Test Labs?
As an Account Manager, I am the main point of contact between our clients and internal teams. My role is to build strong, long term relationships by understanding client goals, ensuring their needs are met and deliver value at every stage. I coordinate across departments to manage projects, track progress and solve problems proactively. I focus on driving success for clients, aligning expectations and identify growth opportunities that benefit both client and the business.
Where did your interest in customer service stem from?
 My interest in customer service began with wanting to help and support people with solving problems. I realised I valued clear communication, working closely with people and the satisfaction I received from turning a challenge into a positive experience. I enjoy assisting customers directly, working on improving their overall experience and building strong relationships. The experience I gained evolved over time into understanding customer needs, delivering value and helping businesses to grow through building these strong relationships.
Have you always wanted to work in customer service or business development?
Not initially – I have always been interested in fashion growing up but then I quickly realised I wasn’t going to be the next Viviene Westwood so with a swift rethink I changed course. I knew I was always drawn to roles that involve communication, relationship building and problem solving. As my career built, I found that these areas aligned with my strengths and it made sense for me to move into customer service/account management. I really enjoy connecting with people, building my network, finding solutions that create real value and helping customers succeed.
What would your advice be for someone thinking of working in the customer service or business development?
Start with having a genuine interest in people. Whether you’re in customer service or business development, your ability to listen, communicate clearly and build strong relationships is everything. Be curious about the product, what the clients’ needs are and the market. Be able to adapt as no two days are the same and be focused to solve problems and adding value.
What are you looking forward to most about working at Test Labs?
Working closely with great people and being part of a forward thinking team. It’s a great environment for me to grow professionally and add value to an already great place.
