Silvia Georges, PhD. studied biology with focus on human and neurophysiology. As animal welfare officer at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, Dr. Georges was the expert in regulatory affairs in basic animal research. She then worked primarily in clinical trials and drug approval as a medical manager before turning her attention to medical devices. Since 2018, Dr. Georges works at NSF PROSYSTEM GmbH as a Manager Medical Device Consulting for Clinical Affairs & Biological Safety. NSF PROSYSTEM GmbH was founded in 1999 and is a worldwide leading consulting and service company in biomedical engineering. The clients of NSF PROSYSTEM GmbH are manufacturers of medical devices, suppliers, external parties, pharmaceutical industry, universities and notified bodies. Dr. Georges’ core competencies include, in addition to the biological safety of medical devices, clinical evaluations, performance evaluations, biostatistics and training.
