Medical Technology UK – A Show Worth Showing Up For
Let’s be honest – picking which events to attend is tricky, in a perfect world (with an unlimited budget), we’d say yes to everything! But for 2024 and 2025, we’re taking a more strategic approach – exploring a variety of shows to really understand where our customers are, both in the UK and abroad.
Delegates and Exhibitors
After attending as delegates at Medical Technology UK 2024, then heading over to Medical Technology Ireland and being impressed by the calibre of exhibitors, we knew this was a must-do event for our 2025 calendar.
The show organisers made things refreshingly easy – and we were lucky enough to secure a double stand, giving us plenty of room to show off our star attraction: our screen. As a laboratory, we don’t have products to draw people in, so we have to get a little creative. The screen helped us do just that – sparking great conversations by giving people a visual of where their samples go, what our lab looks like, and who’s working behind the scenes. It showcased our purpose-built facility, tailor-made for medical device testing and expansions of clients R&D.

The Venue
Held at the Coventry Building Society Arena (with pitch-side views and flooded with natural light, might we add!), this event felt more vibrant and open than the usual exhibition hall experience. From the moment doors opened, the footfall surpassed expectations. UK events can sometimes be hit-or-miss in that department – not this one! We chatted with everyone from start-ups with fantastic new ideas to experienced manufacturers looking to bring their testing to the UK (and skip the hassle of sending samples overseas). We barely left the stand on Day 1 – except for lunch where we had the best loaded fries we have had in a long time!
Event Insights
As expected, Day 2 had a slightly more relaxed pace, with more students making their rounds. But to our surprise, engagement remained strong. We had some fantastic conversations, especially around biocompatibility which was a hot topic for many of the people we spoke to. MDR also continues to headline many conversations, with companies at various stages of the transition period, although what was refreshing to see was people discussing new products coming to the market, which is hopefully an indication of R&D budgets starting to recover after resources were diverted to the transition.
Even better, we didn’t just collect business cards – we’ve already completed testing on one of the projects that started from a show-floor chat. Now that’s what we call a productive exhibition.
All in all, the event was brilliantly organised and a great use of our time. If you’re in the Med-Tech space, it’s definitely one to put on your radar. We’re already looking forward to heading back to both the UK and Ireland events in 2026.
Hope to see you there!
