Arab Health 2025
This year we sent a team of 3 to Arab Health to walk the floor, in what is fast becoming one of the largest Med Tech conferences in the world. Conferences came thick and fast for the first 6 weeks of January meaning the team only had 2 days to get round the whole show, which, if you have been there you will know that’s a lot to cram into just 2 days.
The event was buzzing this year, with the halls filled with delegates, which is a far cry from the feeling at Medica in November. There was a change to the registration this year, which introduced a small charge for tickets, but this didn’t seem to detract from visitor numbers, in fact maybe it even increased the quality of the delegates, with only seriously interested parties attending. The layout can be a little tricky to navigate if its your first time as unlike Medica the halls are not labelled 1-12 for example there are more than one hall 2’s – the halls may have pre-fixes, so we would definitely recommend downloading the app so you have access to the map, as this is not printed and available at the venue.
Event impressions
We had a few key areas on interest such as broadening our equipment portfolio, specifically around our autoclaves, washer disinfectors and low temp sterilisers. We were very impressed the range of equipment available, and the quality was of a high standard. Having found a supplier of a new autoclave for the Laboratory in Medica in 2024, we were confident that these shows are a great platform for showcasing your range to an audience who may not come across it through just an internet search, or the more well known brands. We headed over to the UK and Northern Ireland pavilion which looked to be very well attended, both by delegates and exhibitors. We were excited to catch up with a number of our customers who were also exhibiting, and it was lovely to see that the show was a success for them, and gave a great opportunity to see more than 1 customer in a single location. The general feedback from the exhibitors we spoke with was that the event was busy and the UK pavilion was attracting delegates to their booths.
Is Arab Health the new MEDICA?
Its hard not to compare Arab Health and Medica, as they are a very similar shows but the exhibitor difference was quite stark. Arab Health seemed to attract more of the big Med Tech companies, such as Philips, Baxter, Fresenius, GE Healthcare and Olympus, who were not in attendance at Medica. These companies were all located in one hall, which drew a large crowd to this location, their stands were large and very impressive, but dare I say a little intimidating with the number of people in attendance.
A trip to Dubai would not be complete without a trip to the Burj Khalifa to see the fountains and light display. If you are attending Arab Health this is a must see attraction!
All in all the conference was a success and we would highly recommend anyone that is on the fence about attending to go. We will looking to exhibit next year as the event moves to a new location which offers more space.
