Test Labs at Giant Health 2025
I had the pleasure in attending the first day at Giant Health 2025 representing Test Labs for the first time. The event brought together NHS leaders, MedTech startups, researchers and industry professionals to showcase exciting new developments in the healthcare and MedTech industries. I had many interesting and insightful conversations exploring the future of hospitals, medical devices, digital health and innovation in the space.
The Innovation Zone: Supporting the Medical Device Journey
Positioned in the Innovation Zone, Test Labs stood alongside other key companies that form a part of the medical device journey to market. We were greeted with strong footfall and had a variety of conversations with industry experts, start-up founders, NHS professionals and fellow exhibitors. This zone soon became a dedicated space to showcase the journey in medical devices for attendees. Handing out our latest Outlook 2026 journals, answering queries and discussing the future of MedTech with the next generation of innovators made this event truly successful.
The Tube Map Session: Planning the Med-Tech Journey
Later that day the “Tube Map- Plan Your Med-Tech Journey” session took place which truly encapsulated the spirit of the Innovation Zone. Using a tube map analogy to explore the journey of launching a medical device, each company in the Innovation Zone had a speaker discuss their step in this journey. Going in chronological order the audience experienced the early stages of firstly conceptualising a medical device to the later stages of exploring testing and compliance of their medical device at Test Labs. Inviting the audience to consider the many avenues and regulatory paths in this journey encouraged new conversation and sparked fresh ideas, which soon followed us back at our stand in the Innovation Zone later that afternoon. With a wave of new faces and novel ideas we continued the momentum from the Tube Map session into our conversations with enthusiastic MedTech innovators..
Conversations Across the MedTech Ecosystem
Individually, I had the chance to visit and converse with the variety of talented and thoughtful exhibitors at Giant Health. With Outlook journals ready to hand out, I made my way around the venue drifting from conversation to conversation. The Outlook publications were met with warm smiles and compliments with many interested in contributing too! As we flicked through the pages of the latest Outlook 2026 Annual, we discussed new ideas and thoughts around the latest trends and changes experienced in MedTech and what we think it’s future holds.
Looking Ahead: The Future of MedTech
It’s evident that the Medtech industry is continuously changing and adapting, and Giant Health clearly demonstrated this through its exhibitors, attendees, and sessions. From this, I realised how vital it is to stay in the loop. The connections and collaborations I formed at Giant Health inspired me to continue learning, engaging and conversing with others, as this is what contributes to the industry’s future. I look forward to next year!
