Stephen is a regulatory consultant with a unique position at the intersection of MedTech and FoodTech, combining hands-on regulatory expertise across both industries. He supports startups and SMEs in managing EU, US, and global compliance challenges under MDR, FDA, and novel food frameworks. In 2024, Stephen stood as a candidate in the European Parliament elections, focusing on science, mental health, and innovation policy – experience that informs his system-level view of regulatory challenges. Originally from Ireland, he has lived in Scotland and Germany, and is now based in Helsinki, Finland where he is building Clarifi — a mission-driven regulatory platform making compliance accessible for founders, food innovators, and impact-led startups.
