Test Labs are looking for a Study Director to join our team within our Medical Device testing laboratory at Peterborough.

Test Labs is GLP Certified, ISO17025 Accredited Medical Device Testing Laboratory. We specialise in medical device testing and validation, focusing particularly on instructions for use validation and material compatibility studies to ensure compliance with global regulations.

What are we looking for in this position?

As a Study Director, you will be part of a team responsible for Medical Device and Disinfectant testing in a UKAS ISO 17025 and GLP compliant laboratory.

What will you do?

• Always uphold our company core values; Hungry, Humble, Smart
• Responsible for managing studies and complying to GLP/ISO 17025 requirements.
• Fully responsible for Study Protocol/Amendment and associated documentation (such as approved worksheet etc.)
• Conduct Medical Device testing, where required, to fulfil the requirements of the Study Plan and therefore to adhere to internal SOP and QMS.
• To develop new test methods that when applied support new claims and demonstrate compliance with regulatory/quality standards.
• Working with the business development team, help answer customer questions acting as technical expert.
• Development of test methods and procedures
• Implementation of test methods to identify product failures
• Ensure quality compliance standards are adhered to, ensuring auditable data is produced
• Implementation of project plans, standard operating procedures and risk assessments
• Communicate with the team to participate in determining objectives

What will you need to have and do?

• Previous experience in GLP testing/study directing
• Previous experience in a UKAS testing environment
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a laboratory
• To take a hands-on approach to work
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A drive for time bound completion of tasks
• Ability to work in, and adapt to, a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload
• The ability to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions
• Good IT skills
• Confidentiality in processing sensitive data
• Ability to work to the highest HSE standards and procedures
• Health and safety/manual handling awareness
