Daniela Rondinone is a Textile & Apparel Technologist who focuses on improving people’s quality of life through the innovative use of functional apparel and materials.
Daniela holds a bachelor’s degree in Textile and Apparel Design, followed by a Master of Science in Textiles from North Carolina State University. She has more than 3 years of experience conducting research on biomedical textiles, smart textiles, clothing comfort, and personal protective equipment. For her master’s thesis, she performed a laboratory study to evaluate the efficacy and durability of silver-based textiles used as infection control tools for Healthcare-Associated Infections. She joined Test Labs as a Laboratory Assistant to work on the material science laboratory, bringing her expertise on design of experiments and knowledge on the role of environmental surfaces in the transmission of infections.
